About Trailside Center
The Trailside Center is sponsored by the Historical Society of New Santa Fe through a partnership with the City of Kansas City, Missouri.
The Historical Society of New Santa Fe is a 501 C3 not-for-profit and volunteer organization and was incorporated in 1977 to preserve and memorialize pioneer history in southwest Kansas City.
A former bank building was restructured to be available to the public for community service and was named the Trailside Center because of the connection to the National Historic Santa Fe, Oregon and California Trails and the 3-Trails Corridor. This site is a certified site by the National Park Service, Department of the Interior.
The one story building is located 4 blocks north of the Holmes Road exit of the major Missouri highway system of I-435, 50, 71, and 470. Holmes Road is a mile East of the Missouri-Kansas State Line.
